# Cooling belongs at the point of care.

AIRCHILL is a development-stage emergency-ventilation platform exploring controlled respiratory cooling as an integrated intervention for time-critical care. We are building the engineering, evidence, regulatory and reimbursement pathway in parallel.

Granted intellectual property

## One patent family. Granted in Europe and the United States.

The AIRCHILL development programme is supported by a publicly reviewable patent family covering a transportable system for lowering body temperature via a cooled, oxygen-containing gas flow. Both granted rights are held solely by inventor Fabian Temme; the university is not a co-owner of the patents.

Europe · Granted

### EP3509683B1

European Patent Office · granted 24 January 2024.
Transportable device and system for lowering body temperature over the airways using a cooled, oxygen-containing gas flow.

United States · Granted

### US11395900B2

United States Patent · granted 26 July 2022.

Ownership

### Clear founder ownership

Inventor Fabian Temme is the sole patent holder. There is no university co-ownership in the current patent ownership structure, creating a concentrated chain of title for the AIRCHILL development programme.

The product thesis

## Bring controlled cooling closer to the moment it may matter.

Today, temperature-management workflows are often separated from the first minutes of emergency care. AIRCHILL explores whether respiratory cooling can be engineered into a transport-oriented ventilation platform — with the goal of making research into earlier, controlled intervention technically practical.

01 · Integration

### Ventilation + cooling

One development concept instead of two disconnected workflows. The engineering question is whether controlled respiratory cooling can be integrated without compromising ventilation requirements.

02 · Workflow

### Designed for time-critical care

The product architecture is considered from the ambulance and transport environment outward: compact workflows, controlled delivery and practical handling matter as much as thermal performance.

03 · Evidence

### Test the hypothesis, don’t market it as fact

Medical Cooling separates mechanism data, clinical context, model assumptions and unanswered questions. That makes the next development milestones explicit and investable.

Why this can become a company

## A product is only one part of the investment case.

We are building the surrounding system that a serious MedTech program needs: technical development, an explicit evidence ladder, clinical-study planning, regulatory reasoning, reimbursement intelligence and procurement context.

E

Engineering platformA transport-oriented ventilation and controlled-cooling concept with clearly separated subsystems and development questions.

C

Clinical development logicResearch questions, study planning and evidence gaps are mapped instead of hidden behind promotional claims.

R

Regulatory & reimbursement workRegulatory strategy and payer/procurement pathways are treated as separate workstreams, not as assumptions of market access.

D

Data-rich diligenceSource registers, global EMS reimbursement research and scenario models provide a deeper diligence surface than a typical early-stage product site.

Evidence status

## Credibility comes from showing what is known — and what is not.

The site intentionally distinguishes scientific context from AIRCHILL-specific evidence and from future clinical objectives. That is a feature of the investment case, not a weakness.

Established literature
### Therapeutic cooling research

The broader literature provides scientific context for temperature management. It does not automatically establish AIRCHILL efficacy. [Explore research register →](https://www.medicalcooling.com/research-register/)

AIRCHILL-specific evidence
### Mechanism & development evidence

Existing project results support further investigation of the engineering and physiological mechanism. Product claims remain bounded by the available evidence. [Evidence overview →](https://www.medicalcooling.com/evidence/)

Data gap · planned evidence
### Clinical validation

Prospective clinical work, safety characterization and indication-specific endpoints remain part of the future evidence pathway. [Study planner →](https://www.medicalcooling.com/clinical-study-planner/)

Development roadmap

## Milestones investors can diligence.

Rather than presenting a single “launch date”, AIRCHILL is framed as a staged MedTech development program with technical, clinical, regulatory and market-access dependencies.

Current · in development1. Engineering maturity
Refine the integrated ventilation/cooling architecture, verification strategy and manufacturable system definition.

Next value-inflection gate2. Mechanism, safety & usability evidence
Close the most important technical and physiological evidence gaps before expanding clinical claims.

Planned · not yet achieved3. Clinical feasibility & indication strategy
Use indication-specific research questions, endpoints and study designs rather than one broad efficacy narrative.

Planned · not yet achieved4. Regulatory, reimbursement & procurement pathway
Align evidence generation with intended use, target markets and real purchasing/reimbursement pathways.

Due diligence

## Go deeper than the pitch.

The strongest investor experience is not a glossy claim. It is a fast path from the thesis into the underlying evidence, assumptions and market-access work.
